when kaye contacted the studio for a photoshoot, she said, and we quote:  “I’m pretty sure my CD will be called ‘Wide Open Road’…so I’m going to need, at a bare minimum, a road.  :)”  we took her up on this, but her husband was the location scouting hero here; finding a little-used road in one of the ‘burbs near an old hospital of sorts.  getting up before the crack of dawn isn’t exactly rock & roll but since kaye’s got a little country in her, we were up & at ‘em in the wee hours to catch the early morning mists.  with styling by emily neill of ‘closet smarts’ book fame (yes, we shot that too), and a little coaching from makeup artist elizabeth moon, it was one of life’s simple pleasures to record this visual journey before the nine to five workday officially began.
