chemistry + alchemy

May 7, 2013

back in early april, we teamed up with a handful of collaborators and invited our event colleagues to celebrate at the chemistry + alchemy soirée.  we were thrilled to showcase the talents of vision, sound, texture & taste in a sweet & savory early spring bash.

special thanks to ae eventsseason to taste cateringforêt designsweet tooth bakerynew england country rentalstwo trick pony and murray hill talent for making this event possible, and also to our video collaborator, afterimage productions.

faina & eddie

May 1, 2013

from the state street barbers to the state room and ultimately to the ames hotel, it was evident from the start that faina and eddie love boston and everything it has to offer.  the downtown boston venue showcased their elegant, yet lively event and the cityscape, viewed through the signature panoramic windows, was the perfect backdrop from the ceremony to the last dance.

sarah & joe

April 8, 2013

when we get a referral from murray hill talent, we know it’s a couple with great taste.  add a stunning venue like the boston public library into the mix and it’s a perfect pairing.  sarah & joe’s elegant winter wedding was a mix of classic elements, stunning architecture and some of the best music in town.

beth & josh

October 5, 2012

beth helped update the legalese in our wedding photography contract and when it was her time to sign her own, she came to us.  beth is an attorney with a love of photography that works with our trusted ‘lawyer to the photographic stars’, drew epstein (also the officiant).  we created a one-of-a-kind sign-in book from their engagement shoot and we are now designing an album from their lively, elegant luncheon wedding at the taj in boston.

melissa & peter

July 10, 2012

melissa and peter are foodies with an eye for strong visuals. when they approached us with their intimate restaurant wedding (with a portrait party twist!) we were thrilled. enter the tag-team of liz and mary. liz used her years of portrait prowess to capture the key players in a cozy gathering the night before the ceremony, and mary shot their epicurean event at oleana in cambridge the next day. the resulting images are as playful, warm and unique as the couple themselves.

thrice as nice

April 6, 2012

a recommendation from our friend (and stellar interior gal), abbey k, led to one of our favorite mitzvah families, period.  it was a special treat to photograph these young ladies on the lawn and on the bimah.  keeping track of who’s who between triplets and a look-alike little sister was a fun challenge at a lively, down-to-earth event that celebrated family, close friends, coming of age, and… a birthday!

caren & ryan

March 14, 2012

sometimes you just fall in love with the details:  take a bride with vision, a groom with visual savvy, a warm collection of family & friends, and an exquisite event stylist.  if the whole is indeed greater than then sum of its parts, the result is a happy couple at a remarkably visual wedding late in the season.

we love working with artists.  so we’re extra-happy to be working with ilex flowers next year, who referred us to the lovely sarah and jack.  sneak a peek at their engagement session, where we shared a short & sweetly affectionate sunset on a rooftop overlooking boston’s skyline over good wine and great conversation.

lasso of love

August 11, 2011

jenny & alexis came to us through a PRC mother’s day event where liz captured an irreverent side of the bride’s mother replete with cowgirl paraphernalia to, um, boot.  years later, we had the chance to capture it all over again; with a focus on her beautiful daughter & sweetheart as they said their vows and celebrated over a savory meal at upstairs on the square.  a high-calibur low-key celebration, with favors and flowers crafted with love by the artists in the family.

musical madness

July 27, 2011

kristin cifelli started as a music client back in the early 2000’s.  the album was ironically called ’so long my love’.  fast forward almost a decade, and liz is chronicling her wedding (hello, my love!), which featured an incredibly fun-packed gathering of many of boston’s most talented musicians.  from the cinematic setting in the copley fairmont,  to the guests – and kristin herself (who performed in the shell that was rumored to have been built for lena horne) it was an evening long awaited and made to remember.
